Description
1941-1946 Deluxe Solo Seat, Harley-Davidson
The Harley Davidson Deluxe solo seat introduced in 1941 was also available in 1942, and may have been offered again in 1946 after WWII, but no later.
In 1941 it was available in tan or black.
In 1942 it was available only in Tan.
The seat is built on a vented H-D re-pop seat pan. The skirt had two medium faceted jewels, one on each side of the three piece leather skirt. The two side skirt pieces are longer than the center piece, and the center piece skirt being shorter, by virtue of being sewn doubled, in order to clear the rear fender. The two outside skirt pieces are riveted to the center skirt by three rivets on each end of the center skirt. All three are sewn onto the solo seat with a double row of stitching.
